Airwide Solutions Expands Further Into Asia and Unveils
Next Generation Messaging Solutions

SINGAPORE - June 19th, 2006 - Airwide Solutions, the leader in next generation mobile messaging infrastructure and applications software for wireless operators, today announced further expansion into Asia with the availability of its next generation messaging architecture and new Linux-based router.
Airwide's Fusion architecture represents a flexible and highly scalable messaging architecture that enables mobile operators to deliver services more quickly, blending existing and future messaging architectures and lowering the end-to-end delivery cost-per-message. It provides the perfect environment to introduce integrated multimedia applications offering a much richer user experience. Airwide's architecture enables operators to introduce new technologies without the risk of disrupting their existing infrastructure or messaging revenues.

A breakthrough for wireless operators, Fusion provides an open, non-proprietary IP architecture that facilitates migration to an IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) environment by integrating legacy messaging networks with the core building blocks for IMS. A component-based framework is used to eliminate the silos of traditional messaging architectures. Fusion utilizes web services and SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) as a communications protocol, providing a holistic view for distinct messaging domains. The new architecture provides a unique integration point between the messaging infrastructure and other parts of the mobile network by consolidating business logic into a centralized component. For mobile operators, this provides a pragmatic fusion of current messaging systems with future components, and a fusion of content and multimedia applications with the messaging infrastructure.

Airwide also announced the availability of its AirOpen Router in Asia, which implements Fusion's architectural design. The Linux-based next generation messaging router gives wireless operators the capacity to tap into new revenue streams such as high-value A2P (Application to Person) applications and launch exciting new entertainment and information services such as goal alerts during the 2006 World Cup. It dramatically reduces the load on the messaging infrastructure, lowering cost per message and maximizing return on investment.
The AirOpen Router optimizes the messaging infrastructure by incorporating first delivery attempt, load-distribution and routing intelligence so that traffic can be dynamically allocated across the network's messaging elements in the most efficient manner. It is designed to leverage application layer protocols such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), as well as SMPP (short message peer-to-peer protocol) and MM1. Available in four configurations, AirOpen Router provides a highly flexible approach for operators looking to gain enhanced security capabilities including content barring, antispam, antispoof and blacklisting. Features such as virtual mobile, presence and location interrogation provide an array of enhanced capabilities to improve the subscriber's experience. AirOpen Router also allows operators to more effectively monitor and manage relationships with value-added partners such as MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators), aggregators, and content providers.

"We are excited about introducing our next generation messaging solutions to the region," said Rajive Chandra, Airwide Solutions' regional director for Asia Pacific. "Our Fusion Architecture and AirOpen Router break new ground in helping mobile operators address the conflicting challenges of incorporating IMS into their existing messaging architecture, enhancing the capacity of their networks to support increasing message traffic, lowering delivery cost-per-message, maintaining security, and adding value to attract and retain subscribers. With the help of our Singapore, Australia and India based operations, Airwide is enabling mobile operators across the region to more easily create new revenue streams and deliver exciting new entertainment and information services to their customers."
