ONCE AGAIN, AIRWIDE SOLUTIONS PROVES ITS RELIABILITY

London, United Kingdom. - January 14th, 2005 -airwidesolutions, a global provider of innovative messaging and content delivery management solutions has proven once again that mobile operators can rely on its messaging solutions.

The use of text messages has exploded over the past few years and it looks like it is not going to end soon. For many operators, Christmas and New Year's Eve are the busiest periods of the year and this year was no exceptions with many countries setting new Short Message Service (SMS) traffic records.
The total number of SMS sent across UK GSM networks during the period between midnight on 31 December and midnight on 1 January, was 111 million, according to telecompaper.com beating last year's 102 million's record by 8%. On the UK network, airwide solutions broke its own record of messages delivery attempts per second (mda/s) reaching peaks of more than 4500 mda/s. This represents a 30% increase compare to last year record. Although all UK operators experienced some delays in delivering text messages during peak periods, airwide solutions' customers delivered SMS messages faster than any other UK operator.

Many other regions covered by airwide solutions have also experienced high peaks SMS traffic over New Year's Eve. According to Business Report, South Africa recorded 85.5 million SMS sent during the festive season. ZD net talks about 88 million in France and more than 40 million in Australia. Czech Republic received a record number of 38.5 million SMS, according to 160characters.org (all this during a 24-hour period).
In all these regions airwide solutions has mobile operators using its SMSC to send all these messages and none of them lost service during this busy period.
