Product Manager
(Solutions Marketing and Product Management)
Location: TBD
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess market opportunity, addressable market size, competition and industry trends
- Define the product positioning and pricing strategy
- Define go-to-market strategy including target segments and channel strategy
- Project market share, product sales forecasts and gross margin goals
- Define functional product requirements, feature prioritization, release planning, and maintain product roadmaps with R&D
- Ensure the quality of each release by acting as the customer champion in the business
- Prepare content for product descriptions, collateral, and sales materials for the product with product marketing and marketing communications
- Assist product marketing, marketing communications and sales with product launches
- Proactively work towards solving product-related customer issues together with other relevant AWS organisations
- Support sales in closing customer opportunities by contributing product relevant RFx responses and approving price variances
- Ensure sales teams have the right skills and knowledge to act autonomously in winning business with the products under management
- Maintain strategic relationships with key customers to contribute to product evolution
- Support business development activities pertaining to product
- Contribute to the overall portfolio strategy of the business
- Drive the positioning of product within the company’s solutions
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Degree level education
- 5+ years of experience in product management in a communications related area product marketing or sales experience beneficial
- Comprehensive understanding of the product lifecycle and proven ability to manage products throughout the lifecycle
- Technical excellence in understanding of the telecom or internet industries, including SMS, MMS, IM, mobile internet, mobile device operating systems, analytics, web services, HTML5 and other value-added services and technologies
- Excellent presentation and customer interface skills
- Excellent communication (speaking, writing) skills in English
Desirable:
- MBA or equivalent
- Second language
- Track record of success in a regional sales or business development organisation
