Software Solution Specialist

Location: Espoo, Finland

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To carry out solution support and maintenance activities  
  • Drive the resolution of support cases requiring specialist knowledge
  • Work to define and diagnose issues by applying technical expertise, product knowledge, and communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ensuring that the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the customer and Airwide are fulfilled through proper case management.
  • Carrying out testing and running diagnostics related to specific customer solution

Qualifications & Experience 

Essential: 

  • Good understanding of the following subjects:
    • Unix and Linux
    • Sun Solaris, HP-UX
    • TCP/IP networks
  •  Programming experience
    • Shell scripting/Perl
    • Java
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate in English

Desirable:

  • Oracle database administration skills
  • Understanding of messaging applications
    • basic knowledge about sms & mms protocols
    • Good knowledge about http

Skills and Competencies

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of software processes
  • Ability to work under pressure

Special Features

In this role a person is expected to participate to specialist on-call rotation.

Although rare, there may be occasions where there is a need to travel for short periods (days) of time.
