Deliveries Engineer

Location: Europe / APAC

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verification of the intended customer use-case, business logic and traffic flows
  • Off-site preparations of the installation environment
  • On-site product installation, configuration, integration and acceptance testing support
  • Build good communication and trust with customer
  • Agree day-to-day activities with the customer (e.g. specifications, task scheduling)
  • Documenting the customer solution (operation & maintenance guide)
  • Production system troubleshooting
  • Customer and partner training
  • Improve solution delivery practices and processes
  • Feed improved productization and feature initiatives back to  delivery architects, product management and R&D

Qualifications & Experience

  • CV’s will be reviewed against this criteria:
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience on high-technology software products and customer care
  • Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or related area
  • Understanding of the operating environment and requirements of mobile operators
  • Preferably experience in Value Added Service domain (SMS/MMS/WAP)

Skills and Competencies

  • Positive attitude, initiative, team spirit
  • Customer Service spirit and drive for generating customer satisfaction
  • Deep knowledge of mobile VAS platforms and IT systems, especially SMS/MMS/WAP
    • Knowledge of standards and technologies related to mobile data services and knowledge of Internet standards and protocols
    • Basic knowledge about SMS & MMS protocols
    • Good knowledge about HTTP-based messaging
    • XML
    • Understanding of concepts like SOAP & WSDL
    • Unix administration (Solaris, HP-UX and Linux) and system logfile troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge about TCP/IP networks
  • Database skills (installation and management, SQL)
  • Programming skills (shell scripts)
  • Excellent technical professionalism & work quality
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-cultural, geographically scattered organization
  • Experience in providing technical pre/post-sales service to clients within the telecommunications market (ideally mobile)
  • Passion to keep promises and deadlines, and to generate quality results

  • Willingness to travel is required (100-200 travelling days per year)
