Technical Trainer
Location: RCP, Queens Road, Reading
Duties and Responsibilities
The activities which Technical Trainer will undertake are as follows;
Course Development:
- Work in collaboration with the technical documentation team to define course content for training courses
- Provide effort estimates for course development
- Work with the technical documentation teams to develop training material
- Perform editorial and technical reviews of training materials as required
- Contribute to the definition of training material style
Course Delivery:
- Deliver customer training, in accordance with the contracted work and current procedures
- Ensure customer training course logistics requirements are met for on-site and open courses (in conjunction with appropriate project manager)
- Complete training feedback process and identify actions to improve training course material and delivery
- Work with the Training Manager to develop and improve the training delivery process.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Proven ability in presenting technical training courses for complex computer applications
- Proven ability in technical writing or course development
- A good knowledge Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
- Proven ability to assimilate technical information quickly
- Proven ability to put across technical information and explain technical processes
- Proven customer interfacing skills – be able to build up a customer’s confidence
- Proven ability to work in a structured environment and to quality standards
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the Telecoms/Mobile Network environment
- Knowledge of Messaging products and associated technology
- Knowledge of Airwide Solutions products
- Knowledge of HTML
- Knowledge/experience of UNIX or other operating system
