Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: Montreal (Longueuil), Quebec
Key Responsibilities
- Help maintain and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS), based on the ISO 9001:2000 program
- Assist with the creation and revision of quality documents (procedures and guidelines)
- Document control (drafts, revision, approval, issuance, obsolescence)
- Audit existing and new QMS procedures for compliance based on QMS and ISO requirements and audit history
- Quality data monitoring, analysis and reporting
- Provide statistical analysis on the quality management system
- Help other teams to build tools for reporting of quality measures
- FlagIT and preventive and corrective action
- Track status of open actions, receiving and reviewing responses, working with departments for timely completion and periodic reports and metrics
- Run some debriefs on red/amber flags
- Verify by auditing the effectiveness of corrective actions
- Work with the quality team globally to ensure consistency across Airwide
- Run induction for new joiners
- Hold regular meetings with key managers in local offices
- Assist with any quality training or communications as required
- Report ongoing activities to manager
Education & Skill Requirements
Since maintaining quality demands constant change to meet customer expectations, excellent communication skills and a high degree of flexibility are essential for this role. A critical function of this role is to carry out his/her duties and responsibilities in a competent, trust-worthy and loyal manner. It is expected that the employee will maintain a level of work, which is quality based, timely, efficient and professional.
- Field related degree
- Knowledge of quality systems and practices
- Completed courses in process control, process design and/or quality control
