Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Montreal (Longueuil), Quebec

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Help maintain and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS), based on the ISO 9001:2000 program
    • Assist with the creation and revision of quality documents (procedures and guidelines)
    • Document control (drafts, revision, approval, issuance, obsolescence)
    • Audit existing and new QMS procedures for compliance based on QMS and ISO requirements and audit history
  • Quality data monitoring, analysis and reporting
    • Provide statistical analysis on the quality management system
    • Help other teams to build tools for reporting of quality measures
  • FlagIT and preventive and corrective action
    • Track status of open actions, receiving and reviewing responses, working with departments for timely completion and periodic reports and metrics
    • Run some debriefs on red/amber flags
    • Verify by auditing the effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Work with the quality team globally to ensure consistency across Airwide
  • Run induction for new joiners
  • Hold regular meetings with key managers in local offices
  • Assist with any quality training or communications as required
  • Report ongoing activities to manager

Education & Skill Requirements
Since maintaining quality demands constant change to meet customer expectations, excellent communication skills and a high degree of flexibility are essential for this role. A critical function of this role is to carry out his/her duties and responsibilities in a competent, trust-worthy and loyal manner.  It is expected that the employee will maintain a level of work, which is quality based, timely, efficient and professional.

  • Field related degree 
  • Knowledge of quality systems and practices
  • Completed courses in process control, process design and/or quality control
